About Therapy
Living in NYC can be a challenge. Even though you’re surrounded by people, do you ever feel like no one really gets you? What would it be like to have someone’s undivided attention without the distraction of them gazing at their phone or sending a quick text? This is one of the many reasons a therapeutic relationship is different from just talking to your friends.
In therapy, we’ll work collaboratively to enable you to live a more authentic, productive and meaningful life. I work particularly well with depression, anxiety and relationship issues (especially the challenges of modern dating). I have a special interest in helping clients to relate more mindfully to technology—managing smartphone use, internet use and social networking.
My thinking is influenced by psychodynamic theory, Eastern philosophy and mindfulness practices. We’ll work together to explore patterns in your life that might be holding you back and come up with ways to challenge you to move in new directions.
